Skate Ski Structures

QR1 - The past 2 winters, this grind was used with very good success by clubs in Quebec and in Ontario. At its best in Dec/Jan. in cold, dry snow (- 10 °C to – 20 °C), the QR1 can be extended to all snow conditions by using hand structure. Note: Hand structure can be applied to all grinds.

CJ0 - If you want a wide range cold grind and you do not need/want your skis to competitively fast in January in new, cold, dry snow (-15 °C to -20 °C), the CJ0 would be your best choice.

Q1.3 - A wide range wet snow/old snow grind that works in old snow in temperatures well below zero, to moderately wet snow conditions.

LC4 - This grind is a wet snow/slush/spring conditions grind.

QR0 - A fine grind, similar to the QR1, that runs very well in extremely dry, cold snow (-15 °C to -20 °C).

CJ1 - This grind is similar in pattern to the CJ0 but with more structure to it. The grind is excellent in cold transformed/old snow and also in transformed snow mixed with a little new snow.

ZR1 - At its best in moderate snow conditions, the ZR1 is a very good choice for the month of February.

Q1.2 - Similar to the Q1.3 but with a little less structure, this grind works from about -5 °C to + 1 °C and in transformed snow it can work to at least -10 °C if not colder.

Cost - All the grinds listed on the menu are $75.
