LONGEVITY OF SKINS
In reading what the manufacturers state and applying common sense, the life span of skins will vary according to the snow conditions in which the skis are used and the number of outings or kilometers skied.
For those skiers who use their skin skis a lot in a given winter, you may need to replace the skins on your skis each winter. If a person uses their skin skis occasionally each winter, the skins on these skis may well last for years.
As the skin material wears, the grip provided will decrease. When you notice that the grip is not what you would like it to be, that will be a good indication that the skins need to be replaced.
Taking into account that the retail price for skins is approximately $30 - $35, having to replace skins should not be an issue. GNS will charge $30 for skins for all sizes.
